Unlocking Intuition Through Tarot: What We Learned from Sole Chirco’s Magical Masterclass
26 May 2025Reflections from a Transformational Conversation with Tamrin Feldman-Laporta and Taryn Nightingale
There are moments in life when everything unravels. The job no longer fits. The relationship falls apart. The silence becomes deafening. And in the stillness that follows, something begins to stir. For many, this is the Dark Night of the Soul—a profound inner descent that, though painful, often marks the beginning of a deep spiritual awakening.
In a recent masterclass hosted by Cindy Holmes, Director of the International School of Intuition and Healing, two remarkable women—Tamrin Feldman-Laporta and Taryn Nightingale—shared their journeys through this darkness and into lives shaped by healing, intuition, and service. Their stories, deeply personal yet strikingly universal, offered not just insight, but permission: permission to fall apart, to question everything, and to slowly begin again.
When Everything Falls Away
Tamrin’s path began with profound grief. At 19, the sudden death of her aunt shattered the illusion of permanence. She buried the pain beneath distraction, but something deeper had been awakened. Years later, amid the ruins of a failed marriage and a growing sense of spiritual disconnection, she reached another breaking point—one that called her back to herself. Her healing began not in light, but in shadow.
Taryn’s story unfolded differently but carried the same depth. As a child, she could sense what others could not—subtle energies, unseen truths. But fear and familial rejection taught her to suppress her intuitive gifts. It was only after surviving an abusive relationship and the slow collapse of her inner world that she was forced to reclaim what had always been hers. Her healing wasn’t about becoming someone new. It was about remembering who she had always been.
Both women echoed a truth often left unspoken: that transformation is born in discomfort. That the soul does not awaken in comfort zones, but in the places where we are stripped bare and made to listen.
The Healer’s Journey Begins Within
Throughout the conversation, a clear thread emerged: you cannot guide others into healing without first walking the path yourself. The healer’s work begins not with techniques or certifications, but with deep personal excavation.
Tamrin shared how she enrolled in a healing course while navigating the storm of postpartum depression. It wasn’t a time of ease or clarity—but it was real. And in that raw space, her understanding of healing deepened. She didn’t just learn energy work; she lived it.
Taryn reflected on how her lived experiences—her trauma, her unraveling—became her greatest preparation. They gave her the ability to sit with others in their pain, not as a saviour, but as a witness. She didn’t arrive with answers. She arrived with presence.
The message was clear: healing is not something you give to others. It is something you embody.
Holding Space, Not Solving Problems
In a world obsessed with fixing, the healer’s true gift lies in holding space. This distinction, discussed beautifully during the masterclass, reframes what it means to help. Healing isn’t about giving advice or rushing to mend what is broken. It’s about creating a space where someone can begin to hear their own truth.
Taryn offered a powerful metaphor:
“If someone is going to guide me up a mountain, I want them to have climbed it before. I don’t just want someone with a map—I want someone who’s walked the path.”
Tamrin, too, spoke of the value of simply sitting with someone in silence. Of offering non-judgment instead of answers. Of listening not to respond, but to truly hear.
This is the work of the healer—not to fix, but to witness, to reflect, to hold.
The Journey Has No End
Perhaps the most liberating insight from the evening was this: healing has no final destination. There is no certificate of wholeness, no fixed point where the work is done.
Cindy Holmes, drawing from her own decades of experience, reminded us that even seasoned healers continue to face challenges. The difference is in how they move through them—with greater grace, deeper awareness, and tools honed through practice.
Tamrin and Taryn echoed this truth. Healing is not a straight line. It’s a spiral. There are moments of expansion and contraction, clarity and confusion. The path folds back on itself, again and again. But each return brings us closer to truth, to alignment, to compassion.
This isn’t a process to be rushed. It is a life to be lived.
To walk the path of healing is not to escape pain, but to meet it with open arms.
To trust that even in our darkest moments, there is light waiting to be found.
And to remember that the healer you’re searching for… may already be within.
